Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mops are becoming more capable. They pass our tests on cleaning and are able to handle different flooring. Find models that allow you to choose from a variety of modes, and use their charging docks to self-empty and clean stairs.
Many of the best models work with smartphones. Look for an app that allows you to save maps, schedules, and choose cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal-and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combos available on the market. It makes use of lidar to navigate making maps of rooms and floors.
When I tested the S1, it was quick to map the downstairs area, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, plus carpeting of medium-pile as well as a large area rug. It was capable of driving close to walls and even across thresholds that are raised without issue. However it was a bit difficult traversing the stairs in one pass. The S1 also did a fantastic job cleaning hard floors with its mop that moved effortlessly on its flat side against the floor, and then lifting its own weight when it reaches carpet or carpet.
The docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its trash bin and fills its onboard water tank with clean, ozonated water prior to each mopping session. The dock also adds a cleaning solution into the water for deep cleaning. The S1's water tank holds enough for about 12 cleaning sessions before it needs to be empty, but this can vary based on how often you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots, the S1 requires periodic maintenance to ensure it is operating well. To do this, you'll need to wash the dirty water tank occasionally to prevent it from clogging. Also, you'll need to clean your sensors and swivel wheel regularly to avoid them getting clogged up with dust or dirt. Overall the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-one robot vacuum and mop combo from Ecovacs is a reliable option to meet your cleaning requirements. The Ecovacs robot vacuum has 8,700Pa of suction and offers many unique features, including full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning that avoids obstacles and cleans around furniture. The mopping capabilities of the robot are impressive. Rotating mop heads actually lift the floor and scrub it instead of just drag a pad across a surface. The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station as required.
This robot combination is simple to setup and use, with a simple interface that walks you through the process. It includes a hand vacuum that recharges for those hard-to-reach areas that the robot can't reach and two water tanks that are automatically emptied and refilled whenever required. It has a variety of settings that can be used to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does a good job at vacuuming, with strong suction that easily picks up most of the debris, and even tiny dust particles that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are quite good, though it can get stuck on small mats and rugs in my home (which you can mitigate by defining virtual boundaries in the app). Its mopping capabilities are also very good and include a pair of mops which can lift and scrub the floor instead of simply dragging the pad across it. The mops can be cleaned with heated water, and dried in the basestation as needed. The mops can also be replenished at the top of the station when needed.
3. Dreame X40 Ultra
Dreame released the luxe X30 Ultra earlier this year, but their new flagship robot mop and vacuum comes with more impressive features. It has fantastic cleaning results and is simple to maintain. This makes it a top contender on our list of the top robot vacuums and mop. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart detection and an extended side brush ensure a thorough, customized clean is completed.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming and removing large and fine particles from both hard floors and carpets. It also cleaned our test's dirtiest areas well, keeping pet hairs from getting caught in knots and other dirt. The sweeping capabilities are augmented by an additional side brush that automatically extends to reach hard-to-reach corners, and an extendable mop pad that deploys alongside baseboards.
Its navigation system is intelligent it can navigate tight spaces and negotiating stairs without missing a beat. It can easily move from one room to another without reversing direction which is a great feature for homes with several rooms. Its obstacle avoidance is not as advanced than that of some competitors and leaves a large space between obstacles. This could lead to missed spots.
The app features a simple user interface that is designed to be easy for both novice and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and manage cleanings. You can also alter suction power, mop setting, and view 3-D and 2D maps. You can control it through the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can even tap into the X40 Ultra's camera remotely to get real-time video monitoring. You'll need a stable Wi-Fi connection in order to operate it through the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 pro
A robot vacuum does an excellent job of picking up debris and dirt however, it's not able to reach every last particle of dust. It's important to vacuum often, at least once a week. This is especially true for dust that collects in corners, on shelves, and in crevices in your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that vacuums as well as mop, is made to do just that. It's simple to connect to your Wi-Fi at home network and is compatible with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more useful addition to your daily cleaning routine.
The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the more expensive S-series models from the company, which includes the flagship Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It has the same LIDAR mapping sensors, however it is cheaper because it does not have mopping capabilities and comes with an aluminum body.
The Q5 is still one of the most powerful mopping and vacuums we've ever seen in this price range, despite not being able to wipe your floor. Robot Vacuum Mops has powerful 5500Pa suction and an auto-empty system, so you don't have to manually empty the bin every time. It comes with a smart app which allows you to schedule cleaning times and determine the floor type. It also has an automatic water tank filling system and washing system that is hands-free.
Its mops are also impressive with its 2700Pa capacity to combat pet hair and dirt on carpets and hard flooring. The Q5 is one of the few robots we tested that didn't show any problems with carpets with high piles or area carpets, but it didn't pick up cables or kitty litter and cable tangles, which isn't a surprise considering it doesn't include AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is one of the quietest robot vacuums we have tested. It also uses a unique system to map your home. This allows it to get into the corners and tight spaces that other vacuums can't reach. This device also collects dust in a larger bin which means you have empty it less frequently. It also has washable filters which further reduces the cost of using the device. This robot can also detect carpets and boost the suction when needed. You can also mark areas you would like to keep out of the app.
